 BELMONT MINOR HOCKEY ASOCIATION

VOLUNTEER BOND PROGRAM

Purpose:

To encourage Belmont Minor Hockey Association (BMHA) members to become actively involved in the operation and success of our Association.

Overview:

BMHA relies completely on volunteers to provide a successful and quality hockey program.  Many of our Association members are unaware just how much volunteer work is required each year to maintain a quality hockey program.  The Volunteer Bond Program was introduced in the 2019/2020 season to encourage our Association members to become actively involved in the success of our hockey program.

Value of Bond:

$200.00 per family.   Each family will be require to provide the equivalent of 2 hours of volunteer work for each child registered with BMHA (eg. 2 children = 4 hours).

Process:

Every family when registering a child with BMHA must provide a volunteer bond cheque.  The cheque must be in the amount of $200.00 and post-dated for March 1st of the following year.  Cheques will be returned to those who complete their volunteer requirements by the end of the season. Association members who do not fulfill their volunteer requirements by the end of the season will have their cheque cashed.

All members will be provided with a Volunteer Bond Tracking Form, which can be found by clicking the following link:

It will be the responsibility of each member to complete the tracking form and submit it to the BMHA volunteer coordinator or team Manager.   All volunteer hours must be signed off by a BMHA executive member or team coach.
