2014 INTERNATIONAL SILVERSTICK CHAMPIONS
The Belmont Novice Rangers travelled to St. Claire Shore's Michigan Jan 24-26 for the International Silver stick Championship. As defending champions the Novice Rangers knew the competition would be fierce. There was 10 teams from Canada and the USA participating in this years tournament. Belmont played game 1 @ 11:30 am vs Hagersville Hawks which opened the scoring to make it 1-0 Hagersville. Belmont would score 7 unanswered goals for a 7-2 victory.The boys all got together for some team bonding and all u can eat pizza prior to game 2. Game 2 vs Orangeville again Belmont wins 7-1.

Game 3 vs the Brock Wild was intimidating as Brock fans were loud and the Brock Wild team used there sticks to wrap the glass prior to the game. Belmont was not intimidated and skated to 9-3 win.
  Belmont would finish tied for 1st with Saint Claire Shores at 3-0 but with a better goals for & goals against record the Novice Rangers finished 1st overall in the 10 team pool. The Semi Final would be bright and early for every one as the game time was at 7:30 am Sunday morning. The team played the TCDMHA Rebels and Belmont came out with a 2-0 lead but as they say say in hockey "2-0 lead's are the hardest to keep as the TCDMHA Rebels scored the next 3 goals to go up on Belmont. With the never quit attitude and all the fire power to boot the boys kept pressing  and it paid off with 4 minutes to go in the game Belmont scored to tie the game and the Belmont fans could feel the momentum changing to Belmont's side. There was 2 minutes left after a nice passing play and a great shot it was 4-3 Belmont. Hats off to the TCDMHA Rebels for a great game.
 Belmont would return to finals again with parents and boys all real excited as now they knew there opponent would be the Stayner Cyclones. Belmont coaches had the boys fired up and it showed as the Novice Rangers jumped out to 4-0 lead with some great goaltending, the defence moving the puck to the forwards and the forwards scoring on some great passing and teamwork. The final score was 6-2 for the Belmont Rangers and the boys played their best game of the tournament in the finals. 
 Congrats on back to back International Silverstick Champs.
