Novice Rangers Update
On Saturday, October 18, 2014, the Belmont Novice B Rangers travelled to St. Mary's for a rumble with the Rock.
St. Mary's jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before the Rangers woke up and roared back to tie the score with two goals from Emma S. The Rangers dominated the rest of the game, and drove the St. Mary's net repeatedly. The Rock managed to block shots with sticks, skates, and whatever else they could, and the Rangers were unable to put another one in the net to take the lead.
The Rock scored one more in the 3rd to make it 3-2. Despite pulling their goaltender for a sixth attacker, the Rangers couldn't tie the game and the win went to St. Mary's.
Another great effort by all of the players. After a slow start they turned it on and worked hard every shift, which made the coaching staff proud. Special mention to Rowan W. for stepping in between the pipes in Blake's absence.
Thanks to all of the Rangers for their outstanding work in practice on Sunday. Next up: back to St Mary's on Saturday for a battle with the Rock Team #1.
