Novice LL Rangers Update
On Saturday morning the Rangers and the Port Stanley Junior Sailors clashed at the Belmont Arena.
The Rangers used a solid start to build a 4-0 lead. Blake took a shutout into the third period until the Junior Sailors took advantage of a few defensive breakdowns and put one by him. Final score was 5-1 Belmont.
Once again all of the players showed up ready to play. The effort and the enthusiasm shown by all was excellent. Ryan had the hot hand and a laser wrist shot. He scored three and made the defensive play of the year so far, racing back and stretching out on a slide along the ice to knock the puck off the stick of a Junior Sailor who seemed home free on a breakaway. Kudos to Brayden as well--he made several key blocks in support of Blake. Congratulations to Tyler F. who netted his first goal of the year.
After the game the Rangers assembled at Cy's for some bowling an pizza. The turnout was great. Thanks again to Rowan's mom for making all of the arrangements!
Sunday night we'll get back to work/fun at practice and next Saturday we welcome the Thamesford Attack to Belmont for an 11:00 game.
