To All Our BMHA Membership Families,
Aylmer Minor Hockey and Belmont Minor Hockey have been working towards an amalgamation agreement for the past number of weeks. A tentative date for a membership vote was set for Feb 22, 2023, and subsequently moved to Feb 28, 2023. In light of some new information received from OMHA both organizations have elected to further delay the vote in order to give the Amalgamation Committees time to work through the information and ensure we put forth the best proposal for our memberships to vote on. This will also give us more time to discuss the benefits and drawbacks of amalgamation with our membership to ensure all members are fully informed regarding the details of the agreement.
This delay may jeopardize our ability to amalgamate for the 2023-2024 season but this decision is in the best interest of our associations. More information regarding this will be shared once confirmed by OMHA. Please continue to reach out if you have any questions regarding amalgamation.
