As we embark on this exciting pilot season of East Elgin Minor Hockey, there has been much speculation and anticipation of the possibility of forming a U11C Rep team. We understand that many of you are eager to know if such a team will come to fruition. However, it is important to emphasize that we will not be able to make a definitive decision until after tryouts are completed.
Tryouts are a crucial component of team formation. They provide us with essential insights into the skill levels, abilities and potential of our young hockey players. It is only through these evaluations that we can determine whether there is a sufficient pool of talent and commitment to establish a U11C hockey team.
We want to assure you that our organizations are dedicated to providing opportunities for players for all skill levels. If the tryouts yield a strong and committed group of U11 hockey players, we will certainly explore the possibility of forming a U11C team to ensure every child has the chance to develop and enjoy the game.
Furthermore, it's important to note that we are also taking the health and balance of our local league teams into consideration when making this decision. We aim to maintain competitive balance within our local league and ensure this decision does not negatively impact our local league players hockey experience.
