AMALGAMATION VOTE APPROACHING
It’s time to cast your amalgamation vote!
BMHA is asking all members to stop by the Belmont arena this Friday, Nov 17th between 5 and 9 pm to cast an amalgamation vote. Every member of BMHA at all levels of hockey is strongly encouraged to vote.
Who can vote
-
Your child must be registered with BMHA or AMHA to vote and you must vote at the arena with the association you are registered with, i.e. BMHA @ Belmont Arena, AMHA @ East Elgin Community Complex.
-
Each member (parent/guardian, coach, assistant coaches, managers, trainers, official, board member, players over the age of 18, etc.) will receive one vote.
Member verification
-
All members are asked to update their player's Spordle Account contact information (this is the system used to register for hockey), as this information will be used to confirm membership enrollment.
-
Valid photo ID must match the surname and address of the player or registrant on the membership list &/or contact information.
-
For blended families, parents or guardians with different surnames, and or legal custodial parental guardians – your information must be uploaded into Spordle in order to provide proof of membership and for verification purposes.
-
The attached document outlines how to update your Spordle account with both parent/guardian names if needed.
Voting process
-
Be ready to show a valid Photo ID with a name matching your Sprodle account &/or contact information.
-
Volunteers will be present throughout the voting time to hand out ballots and assist members.
-
Following the BMHA vote close, votes will be counted by volunteers. However, results will remain confidential until Aylmer's vote is closed on Sat. Nov 18th.
-
Belmont and Aylmer boards will communicate the results of the vote and the next steps in a timely manner following a final count.
