Evaluation Skates
This week's upcoming ice times are for the purpose of evaluating the players to make the U11 Rep team. Tuesday September 28th at 5pm and Wednesday September 29th at 6pm the coaches will focus on individual skill work (skating, puck handling, shooting). Friday October 1st at 6pm there will be an inter-squad game. After Friday's game cuts will be made and a list of players continuing on will be posted to the BMHA website under the U11 team page.
The final evaluation will be on Saturday October 2nd at 12:30 in an exhibition game against Port Stanley in Port Stanley. Following the game the FINAL Roaster will be posted for the 2021/2022 U11 Belmont Ranger Rep team. Please always check the BMHA website for updates and changes. Every player is welcome to attend the REP tryouts; this year the rep team will be carrying 10 skaters + 1 goalie, so commitment to the team is very important. It is important for your hockey player and you as the parents to know that if they make the team the coaches will work to provide equal playing time when they can. However as with all competitive teams sometimes playing time is not equal. Hard work and a great attitude will always be noted by the coaches and playing times can change throughout the season.
It also should be noted that coaches will work to pick players based on their prefered position, however if they see an opportunity to develop a player further in another position we would like your player to be on board with adapting to change when asked.It is expected of all Rep players to attend all practices and work hard, pay attention and be a team player, bad attitudes and misbehaviour will not be tolerated. Players will also be expected to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to games to ensure they are warmed up and mentally prepared for the game.
As a REP team player there will be additional cost above and beyond your initial registrationFirst there will be a $100 REP fee that BMHA will collect. Secondly we will be in a few tournaments this season. Currently the team is registered for the following and we are looking to add at least one more to the list.November 5-7th in Goderich & March 18-20th in St Catherines. The estimated team fees for the tournaments will be $290 once the final tournament is confirmed we will finalize and collect team fees immediately.
