Rangers Salvage Tie With Irish
Friday was a PA Day for the kids and as coaches we left the expectations at the door.  Going in we knew Lucan had a strong team, all we wanted was to be competitive on this night.  Competitive we were.

Lucan opened the scoring to go ahead 1-0. The game went back and forth. We spent numerous shifts with pressure on and they the same. Ben Weesjes and Seth Van Bommel both had 2nd period breakaways and were turned away by the tender from Lucan. We finally beat the Lucan goalie when Noah Vandenbrink lifted a beautiful backhand over his shoulder. It didn't stay tied for long as Lucan again went on top 2-1. With around 1:30 left in the game Holden Clark notched it at 2-2 just as William Richardson had got to the bench for an extra attacker. With 7 seconds left in the game and the face-off to the right of the Lucan goalie Belmont once again lifted Richardson from the crease to go for the win! Coaches had faith that if we didn't score then we would at least keep the puck in the offensive zone. Everything changed and the heart rates of the staff got a little higher as the scorekeeper forgot to start the clock. Game went on for what seemed like ever(10extra seconds) before he realized and the buzzer sounded. Great PA Day comeback and effort for the boys!  The extra practices are really starting to show in the overall team play.  The passing and sharing of the puck is "pretty to watch".
