Sabres Penalty Shot Proves Costly For Rangers
The Sabres rolled into town for a rare Friday night tilt vs the Rangers.  The game was fast paced right from the drop of the puck.  Both teams skated fast and competed hard during the opening frame with some amazing passes from both sides.

The Sabres drew first blood before Ben Weesjes picked up the puck and made his way through the neutral zone with flare, then just inside the blue line he let go a dandy of a wrister that caught the South Huron goalie by surprise and we were all tied up at two. After more end to end action with both goalies putting on a clinic, the Sabres sqeaked one in to go back on top. With Dylan Watson busting by the right D, he and Jackson were in alone on the little tender from South Huron. Watson made a nice move to the backhand and Grove's tapped in the rebound to tie it back up at two.  With 4:00 minutes left on the clock and the game knotted at 2-2 a goalmouth scramble infront of William led to the ref calling a penalty shot as he thought one of the boys covered the puck in the crease with their hand.  (The jury is stiil out) As the Sniper for the Sabres cruised in on William he made a TSN highlight deke that had everyone in the arena going that way, he tucked it in the back of the net to put his team back in the lead.  With one of the Ranger players in the Sin Bin and time winding down, South Huron scored on the PP to go ahead 4-2. The D of Mason Rysdale, Noah Szabo, Logan Shannon and Cal Crinklaw had another solid outing on the blueline.  Dylan Watson took home the hard hat as he skated hard all night!
