Opening Weekend Results
Saturday the Rangers opened their regular season on the road against the Dorchester Dragons. Although the Rangers came out on the short end of a 6-1 score, the game was closer than the score indicated--the Rangers had plenty of chances but the Dragons' goalie shut the door. Outstanding effort to start the season.
On Sunday the Rangers travelled to Lambeth and took on the Lancers. Rangers' goaltender Blake Walpole made several big saves early before his team responded with a flurry. Final score was 7-2 Belmont.
As coaches we asked three things of the players this weekend: have fun, remember what we worked on in practice, and work hard. All of the players put in an outstanding effort in both games: they worked hard and never let up in either game. Judging by the noise in the dressing room after the games, it seems they had fun...
